Once a quiet French hill resort near the Chinese
border, the town of Sapa now draws visitors from around the world.
Travelers admire dramatic mountain scenery, trek to remote Hmong and
Yao villages to see women create batik and embroidered goods and
bargain for made-for-tourist handicrafts in a lively marketplace. The
trip combines with World heritage of Ha Long Bay. Located in the Gulf
of Tonkin, the bay covers an area of 1500 square km. With more than a
thousand limestone peaks soaring from its crystalline emerald water
this area is one of the natural wonders of Vietnam and now a World
Heritage listed site. Visitors have constantly marvel at Ha Long Bays’
natural beauty.
Day 01: Arrival Hanoi
Arrival transfer to our hotel in old quarter of Hanoi. At leisure, overnight at the hotel in Hanoi
Day 02: Victoria Express Train To Sapa (Breakfast)
At leisure in Hanoi. Tonight we board the Victoria Express train to Sapa. The train leaves at 22:00pm
Day 03: Sapa (Breakfast/Dinner)
The
train arrives at the Lao Cai train station at approximately 06:00.
There will be a vehicle waiting to transfer us to Sapa. The drive to
Sapa is only 33 km but it takes around 1.5 hours to make our way up the
mountains. Arrive Sapa and freshen up followed by buffet breakfast at
the hotel. Enjoy hotel facility and Sapa town. This afternoon at 1pm
from the hotel there will be a walking tour to the hill tribe villages
of Cat Cat, and Sansaho village home to the H'mong hill tribes minority
peoples. As we walk to the villages nestled in the valley below Sapa,
we will meet some of the local minority people on their way to and from
Sapa. Here we have the opportunity to share cultural experiences with
the families that live in the area. Dinner at the hotel.
Day 04: Sapa (Breakfast/Lunch)
Buffet
breakfast at the hotel. Embark on a lovely walk that will take us along
small paths and trails and through several hill tribe villages of Lao
Chai and Tavan, home to H'mong, and Dzay people. This is a absolutely
spectacular walk through stunning scenery inhabited by some of the
friendliest people you can meet. Stopping for a picnic lunch on the way
at a family in Ta Van village. Opportunity to meet with local people
and study the art of making batik and local weaving villages - study
textile tradition of craft women o Black H'mong and Red Dzao.
Day 05: Victoria Day Train To Hanoi (Breakfast/Lunch)
We
breakfast and bid farewell to friendly local people for a transfer back
to Lao Cai for the Victoria Express train journey back to Hanoi. The
scenic train journey leaves at 10:20 and takes us along the most
spectacular country along Red river. We are treated to a 3 course lunch
on bord. The train arrives Hanoi at around 8:30pm. Overnight at hotel
in Hanoi.
Day 06: Hanoi - Halong Bay Junk Cruise (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Breakfast
at the hotel. Pick up from your hotel in Hanoi at 0830 for a four-hour
drive through the Red River Delta to Ha Long City. Comfort stop en
route for photos and coffee before arriving to Halong City We then
transfer to to a refurbished wooden sailing junk for a cruise through
the limestone cliffs and emerald waters of Halong Bay, giving us the
chance to take in the stunning scenery of this World Heritage Site.
While on board we will be served a sumptuous fresh, local seafood lunch
followed by a swim and exploring some of the limestone caves in this
area. When the sun come down we drop anchor for the night nearby a
remote island.
12h30: Board Huong Hai Junk, check-in registration
13h00: Have lunch with welcome wine.
14h00: A fantastic cruise in Ha Long bay
15h00. Optional visit to Thien Cung cave, Dau Go cave, round over Tuan Chau island, or Sungsot cave.
Optional swim at lovely beaches. Afternoon tea with pastries on the sundeck or in the restaurant and drink before dinner.
18h00: Junk cruise ankor by the lagoon
19h00: Enjoy 4 course diner and overnight on Junk
Day 07: Halong Bay Junk Cruise - Hanoi (Breakfast/Lunch)
07h30 : Junk boat once again sets sail through breathtaking secluded Halong bay
08h00: Enjoy breakfast while cruising
9h00 : Visit Bai tu long Bay, Teapot island, Chopstiks island Bai tho mountain.
11h00 : Return to Halong city and have lunch on board.
12h00 : Back to Halong wharf and disembark
Transfer back to Hanoi. Arrival Hanoi by 5pm. Overnight at hotel in Hanoi
Day 08: Hanoi (Breakfast)
Leisure day to enjoy Hanoi till your departure. End of services.
